I thought it would be interesting to document how much sitcom stars or guest stars receive every time their episode(s) air.
Paul O'Neill apparently receives $57 in residuals every time his Seinfeld episode airs. It doesn't seem like very much, but I guess it would add up. https://www.mediaite.com/sports/yank...ld-cameo-airs/ Donald Trump still receives residuals for his 1994 cameo appearance on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He received between $201 and $1000 from Warner Bros. Studios in 2017, mostly for his appearance on the Will Smith sitcom. https://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards...d.php?t=371929 Sadly many sitcom stars from the 1960s and 1970s don't receive any residuals. They may have received residuals for the first 2-3 years their shows were aired in syndication. |

I suppose it all depends on what was negotiated by their agents. This might be why Trump gets way more than O'Neill does. It's likely based on how often the episode(s) airs, and how high profile the guest star is.

Seinfeld guest stars are making some pretty good money for doing nothing for a show about nothing.
In 2015, Keith Hernandez revealed that he earns about $3,000 per year from royalties from his three Seinfeld appearances. Keith Hernandez earns about $3,000 per year from Seinfeld reruns |
