Following a couple of 1965 & '67 appearances on Gunsmoke, beautiful Lane Bradbury began her role as Merry Florene, 1968-69 (Seasons 13, 14, & 15). Merry is hot for Newly (Buck Taylor), but stupidly he shows no interest. If you take notice of petite redheaded ladies, Lane is the woman for you.
Here's Lane with Buck Taylor: And with Ken Curtis as Festus, wearing period clothes & cute braids: By the time Lane appears on The Mod Squad in 1970, her hair appears in its gorgeous bright red color, full and straight. She looks stunningly pretty: That same year, wearing a great short dress on The Partridge Family. Beautiful: On Kung Fu, with David Carradine in 1973. Lots of great guest spots in that decade: With George Peppard on Banacek, 1974. How sleek her hair looks pulled back. Lane typically plays feisty characters in that era, usually wearing nice pants: Such a beautiful woman, here she's wearing lovely accent braids that serve to keep her very long hair in place: |

She is definitely a heart throb. Just something about her coarse demeanor. I wonder if Lane Bradbury was anything like Merry Florene?
Co-stared with her then Husband Lou Antonio in Gunsmoke's season 14 episode "Goldtown". |

As Festus says in Gunsmoke season 13, episode 20: "How would you like to be gathering eggs, and find her in the nest?"

Festus had a good eye!
I'm excited to upload a few closer looks at redheaded hottie Lane Bradbury from the early 1970s. This image continues from my initial post's final one, from the 1971 film "Maybe I'll Come Home in the Spring," giving us a look at the very nice length of Lane's hair. Those eyes are melting me. In her corduroy jumper, she's a living doll: 1972 episode of Owen Marshall, Attorney at Law. I like this look: a barrette on top, holding her tresses back nicely, with some bouncy curls setting off Lane's colorful hair beautifully: 1972 episode of The FBI. So very pretty. I can't get over how lovely her face looks, amazing: Here we see Lane's profile in the 1973 Kung Fu episode. Likely wearing very minimal makeup, she is simply & naturally beautiful: |

From an August 1972 episode of the syndicated TV drama series Insight, here are new screenshots of Lane -- looking as absolutely gorgeous as expected! So hot!
