As the Lone Ranger and Tonto made their way across the Old West, battling outlaws and desperadoes, just how did the valiant duo makes some money?
They really weren’t around long enough in any town to earn any money. Do you think that the Lone Ranger and Tonto ever charged the honest citizens they helped a fee for their able assistance? Or maybe the Lone Ranger or Tonto hit the 19th century equivalent of the Mega Millions or Powerball Lottery, thus enabling them to perform good deeds at no expense to others? Then again, maybe the Lone Ranger just held out his hat and panhandled in every town and village he and Tonto hit? As Tonto recalled, “Kimo Sabe, he tight with a buck.” |
