I don't think Wheel of Fortune will go downhill. It's a big transition going from Pat Sajak to Ryan Seacrest and the game won't change. It's a game where everyone can play along at home. Wheel of Fortune has always been a game driven format and the host has always been a traffic cop. Ryan Seacrest will do well and the show will remain on top of the syndication ratings.

Plus Pat Sajak is still going to be behind the scenes for at least a few years. I’m sure he will still have some pull backstage as far as what works and I’m sure he can stop someone from messing with what works (I.e. someone who wants to do something that would do more harm than good.)

You're so wrong it'll do great. (and on a more personal note, June 7th coincidentally was my deceased maternal grandfather's birthday).

Drew Carey's been host of the Price is Right since 2007 and it's been going strong ever since.

I still watch The Price Is Right but I agree that Drew Carey is too much of a clown and goof off to be a good game show host and CBS should not have given him the job. Drew's silly antics have tarnished the show.

And why does he have to end each show now by telling people to take care of their mental health? Does he think everyone is crazy and going insane? Preachy stuff like this just annoys me.

To be honest, Bob Barker ending The Price Is Right shows by telling people to have their pet spayed or neutered annoyed me too. This is preachy and I don't need someone to tell me what to do with my pet.

And Lester Holt signing off the NBC Evening News by telling people to take care of themselves and each other. Again, preachy stuff like this just annoys me and I don't need to hear it. I guess signing off by saying goodnight and thanks for watching isn't good enough anymore, some of these people think they have to be preachy.

Back in the 1970's when I lived in Chicago, WGN TV had an overnight news show titled Nightbeat, sometimes anchored by Carl Greyson. Carl was a classy guy and pure professional, he ended the Nightbeat shows by saying "And on the beat that's the story for 8-22-76", or whatever day it was at the time. Now that was a classy way to end a newscast.

On the subject of Pat Sajak leaving Wheel Of Fortune, it's unfortunate but I guess he decided to retire. I don't have any issues with Ryan Seacrest taking over but will see how he does with it.

Ending the show on a positive note isn't "being preachy". That's a horrendous take.

You have your opinion and I have mine. There are other ways to be positive without being preachy.

Maybe slightly better but still preachy. And for the record, Drew says the have your pet spayed or neutered thing also. But aside from that, Bob Barker was a great host for The Price Is Right, definitely better than Drew Carey.
