Not an easy question for me. Thinking on this subject I've decided to make 2 short lists: one for rightfully/arguably may be considered the "best," and one for my personal favorites.
Best: 1. The Andy Griffith Show 2. The Dick Van Dyke Show 3. The Flintstones 4. Green Acres 5. (tie) The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis and The Munsters Personal Favorites: 1. My Three Sons (prefer the color seasons) 2. Family Affair 3. Bewitched 4. Gilligan's Island 5. The Beverly Hillbillies (prefer the earliest seasons) Several quality '50s series carried on well into the '60s including The Advs. of Ozzie & Harriet, The Danny Thomas Show, and Leave It to Beaver. |
