Your Preference: David Soul, with mustache or without?

On this site's Partridge Family forum currently, an opinion regarding David Soul sporting a mustache has been stated:

"It kind of reminds me of David Soul sporting one in the last season of Starsky & Hutch.
It kind of combined with the long sideburns, makes their characters look sleazy."

I'm reminded several years ago I grew a mustache with van dyke, and a friend saw me
