Bugliosi knew there was a wealth of evidence pointing to OJ's guilt, although some of the most important pieces were never introduced in the criminal trial. He also remarked that an innocent person would not behave the way OJ did. But none of that is keeping some people from believing he is innocent. For that reason, a new pro-OJ documentary, produced and narrated by Martin Sheen, will be airing on Investigation Discovery in 2017. |

Even my aunt's parrot knew that OJ was guilty!

Bumping this again because it was on the other night on ESPN to mark OJ's death. I watched some of it again. It is so awful to see where we were as a society, particularly in LA in those days. It is frustrating to see how much police brutality there was and blatant injustice. It is also remarkable to me to see that some things have changed for the better in our society since the early 90's, but yet even back in 2016 when this documentary was released, you can see that there were still multiple LA area law enforcement people justifying police brutality in the early 90's. One example was being pro-choke hold (no surprise that it was Mark Fuhrman).
It is sickening that OJ being a famous LA celebrity was allowed to repeatedly beat Nicole and even get out of a domestic battery arrest on New Years day in 1989 because he fled the scene and decided that he did not want to be arrested. The responding police officer wrote down in his report that Nicole told him "He's gonna kill me" It is disgusting to see so many people in OJ's and Nicole's inner circle that knew that she was being battered and did nothing about it. I also noticed that OJ was on NBC covering the Cowboys vs. Dolphins game on Thanksgiving in 1993 with his kids throwing snowballs at him, with Nicole by his side. That was less than a month after Nicole's October 911 call where OJ was rage yelling at her at her house for having a relationship with someone else. In retrospect you can tell that everything was being setup for OJ to continue to control Nicole's every move and mask his abuse of Nicole. and it would only be months later that he would kill her and Ron. It is crazy to see that the cops back then knew that he was 100% guilty and were still so afraid to arrest OJ. even up to the point to where he was fleeing in the bronco. they escorted him, if it had been any other criminal you know what the LA police did to people back then who ran from them...LA county deserves all of the negative publicity that they got during this period. I'm glad OJ is finally gone for good. I hope that Nicole's and Ron's family can have some justice. It's so wrong that they did not get that justice when they deserved it. |
