Mama and Naomi acted like they did in Seasons 1-2, while Vinton stayed the way he was in the syndicated seasons? I know I would have preferred it much better that way.

I think the paradigm of the syndicated era was Mama rules EVERYTHING and always gets the last word. God himself would back down to Mama in the syndicated episodes. So I'm guessing that's why Mama and Naomi was changed because Naomi often put Mama in her place in the NBC episodes. So I guess it depends on what type of paradigm you like..... Mama in total control or people to dish it back to Mama, Both have their good points IMO.... I liked their personalities best in like seasons 2 and 3

This is why I'd love to see how Eunice would have interacted with a season6 syndicated Mama.... Because in the old days, Eunice could always ultimately dominate Mama, Eunice would often tell Mama, "SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP OLD LADY!" And Mama WOULD.... So I'd LOVE to see how a fight would go in a ate syndicated episode
