Season 7 intro had the show came back for 1990-1991

This is how I would have done it. Well, up until Lara Jill Miller, then the usual producers credits and such for all the episodes, but this would have been the special opening for the series finale.

In the final 7th season, Vint and Naomi are shown as parents and Thelma as a grandmother to Tiffany Thelma. Bubba begins dating a girl in college and most likley graduates as if he hadn't yet he would have before the end of the 7th season as it was a community college. Lara Jill Miller would join the cast as his girlfriend and then fiancee. Iola would most likely also get a boyfriend before the end of the season as well, or maybe the guy she liked on the island would have returned. Thelma also could have gotten a new love interest of some sort, too.

In the last episode, Bubba and his girlfriend marry and his parents come home for the wedding. It would be a reunion where Ellen, Ed and Eunice all attend, even Buzz and Sonja. With Rue McClanahan, I tied her in as well. She would be in a dream sequence with Mama in the last episode or last few episodes. Maybe Mama would have a medical issue and feel her time is almost up but she would dream of Fran and visit her in heaven then finds out she is fine at the doctor.

It would have been neat if they could ever get all the others to agree to coming back. I always had a feeling if Eunice ever returned, it would NOT be Carol Burnett playing her, which the audience would hate. If you really wanted to get zany you could have Aunt Fran as having faked her death and returning
