I didn't know Mean Girls had a sequel. Does this one not have Lindsay Lohan?

It's all-new. We mentioned the stars in the story (no Lohan).

it's a direct to DVD/TV sequel. it was not in theaters and it stars mostly nobodies.

Some changes at the end of March 2011, including Sabrina leaving because it is expiring:

So is 8 Simple Rules still airing from 1pm to 2pm?

Any chance that Sabrina might get picked up by another network? were the ratings bad? why wouldn't they renew it?

I think that Teen Nick should pick it up again, didn't it used to air there? Ditto for Disney.

Yes, 8 Simple Rules is still airing at 1pm. Changes were listed in the story, whatever is not listed...is the same.

No word on any network getting Sabrina yet.

I could definitely picture The Hub picking the series up. I can't imagine it anywhere else unless ABC Family and/or Teennick reacquire it.

As for 8 Simple Rules, did anybody notice that on Thursday, ABC Family aired 3 episodes in a row from 12:30-2pm? Just curious about the show's ratings and whether they debating on giving it a third daily airing...
Personally, I think a show with as short a run doesn't need more than 1 airing in a day. I love watching the show after school, but they run through them so quickly that I keep myself from watching all days of the week so once they return to a previous season, I make sure I haven't watched certain episodes within the last 1-2 months.

I don't want that, it would be a step back from their current lineup. (the 8-11:30 lineup anyway)

I really like Sabrina and I enjoyed watching it when it was on TeenNick. TeenNick really needs to bring back more sitcoms. Their lineup right now is so repetitive with the four or so Nick shows airing back to back like 3 times a day.

If that happened, that would be the most depressing piece of TV sitcom rerun news of the entire year. It definitely doesn't fit with what they're doing but I could see it on TeenNick again.

I stumbled onto this thread today after trying to look up some stuff for the (former) ABC Family, and wow. It's interesting just how much the channel, and cable...and entertainment as a whole has changed in the last thirteen or so years.

Boy Meets World returned to the channel, now called Freeform, recently...but the channel is mostly just movies, with reruns of BMW, Black-ish, Family Guy, and Simpsons whenever they pop up. 90s and 00s sitcoms aren't really run on channels like this one as often unless they're super popular or on specialty channels like TV Land. The entire landscape of TV is so radically different now compared to 2010.

Just fascinating and depressing stuff.

I forgot Friday Night Lights had aired on ABCFamily and flopped hard. Early Edition is a Kyle Chandler show that probably would have done better.

Wow, it actually flopped? I thought it lasted for a while, even if it wasn't as long as Full House and other shows had.

I do remember Dawson's Creek and Buffy the Vampire Slayer reruns disappearing only a few weeks after they began. Those shows bombed hard, which shocked me!
