Default How old is Tramp?

Did they have him before Chip was born?

I don't know how old he was but he was a puppy of the dog on Petticoat Junction. And Tramp's real-life name was Mac.

I am going to guess they used different dogs throughout the show's 12 year run.

^^^
Are we supposed to believe that Tramp is 15-17 years old?

I can't find out how old Tramp was, but his real-life mother lived to be 17.

I know in the Brady Bunch they say that they had Tiger before they had Bobby. I think I heard them say something similar for Chip.

I am in season 11 and Tramp is still with them so even if they had Tramp and Chip at the same time Tramp is getting up there.

Tramp is still there at the end of season 12. Tramp is tied with Fred MacMurray and Stanley Livingston as the longest cast member. My wife says it's the same dog also.
One of the final episodes is about Dodie and Tramp.

Stanley Livingston has stated that Tramp was replaced by "his grandson" after appearing on M3S for "about 7 years." Some fur dyeing was done to the grandson dog to better match the original Tramp in appearance. So it was not the same Tramp, after all...!
