My mom was telling me that the Barry Manilow song Weekend In New England is from a movie of the same name and I was wondering if anyone has heard of the movie Weekend In New England? According to my mother it stars Alan Alda but I can't remember what other actors and actresses are in it. Did Barry Manilow have a part in creating this movie and is it shown on TV much anymore?

There is a TV movie by that name but Alan Alda isn't in it. Alan Alda was in a movie called The Four Seasons. I'm not sure if that's the movie you could be thinking of. That Barry Manilow song was not in an Alan Alda movie that I know of.

Also, there is an Alan Alda movie called Same Time, Next Year but the couple meet in California, not in New England.

So there is a movie called Same Time Next Year with Alan Alda but I never knew that there was a Weekend In New England TV movie? Who stars in it and what's it about? Is it the same story as the song?
