It's hard to believe that you don't hear much about fitness empire Jake Steinfield anymore and I could never figure out why he was given a sitcom? Was Jake planning to branch out into sitcoms in addition to his Body By Jake fitness empire? Because the way I see it The Family Channel was planning to make Jake Steinfield a mega celebrity with Big Brother Jake. What is the actual story why Jake Steinfield was given Big Brother Jake?

Jimmie Walker was given a similar show earlier called ‘Bustin Loose’. The show was cancelled after a year because of ‘unfortunate events’, but the ratings were good. They may have said ‘if he could have a show, why not Jake? They put it on the family channel, so no one would care about the ratings, and it ran for 88 episodes!
