Kind of a draw, to me... the adults on both programs seem more addled than most other cartoon series (but then, it wouldn't be as funny if the adults WERE smart, now would it?)

Yes, and Timmy Turner's parents have a much broader vocabulary, so they're clearly smarter. They just lack common sense.

I like Fairy Oddparents, but I have to say the adults can be pretty weird in that show.

the parents on Southpark are supposed to represent society, in general, the way they are always all getting together and overreacting about something (especially they way they, literally, say "rabble rabble rabble rabble")

The thing about Southpark, is that most of the parents arent that stupid alone, it is when they all get together
