Jon Lovitz on "Family Guy" Taking Scenes from "The Critic"
"Saturday Night Live" veteran Jon Lovitz, beloved by audiences for the TV shows "NewsRadio" and "The Critic", joins Alyona in Huff Post TV studio to discuss his new Vodcast Lovitz or Leavitz.
Here he talks about "Family Guy". "What's funny about 'The Critic' is that it had a huge influence on Seth MacFarlane and 'Family Guy'. Al Jean told me that he talked to Seth about it and he said that Seth took a lot of scenes from 'The Critic'. I asked Al if that was true and he said, 'yeah, whole scenes'. By the way, I think 'Family Guy' is hilarious and I personally don't see the connection between 'Family Guy' and 'The Critic'. I'm sure he was influenced by it and he took it towards his own direction and own sense of humor." http://live.huffingtonpost.com/r/arc...34441a39000483 |

I love the way Jon Lovitz is handling this situation. He is a class act! A lot of people in this situation would be talking about lawyers and lawsuits. But Jon compliments the other show that stole material from his show!!
