Default KFC serving up new ‘Chizza’ — fried chicken, pizza hybrid

>>>Pronounced “cheet-za”, the colossal item features two white meat, extra-crispy fried chicken fillets “topped with zesty marinara sauce, melty mozzarella cheese and crispy pepperoni.”<<<

YUM !!! But I would hold the pepperoni . Maybe they will offer them with or without pepperoni. Plain sauce and cheese on top of the chicken sounds delicious tho .

At its heart it’s just basically chicken parmigiana. If you want, you can pick off the pepperoni and mail them to me.

Yeah, a crunchy chicken parm .Delicious! IMO doesn't need the pepperoni !

I can mail them to you, but by the time they get cross the country they will be really stale and hard ! Can you imagine ? Well you could use them as poker chips !

This sounds good!

Believe it or not ----
Back in the 90's, I worked at Domino's.
They just started serving "Buffalo Wings."

So, one day I ordered myself an order of
Buffalo Wings, but instead I took the chicken off
the bones and only put it on a pizza with cheese,
I called it "Chicken Pizza."

My Manager liked it so much, he submitted the
idea to Corporate, but we never heard anything back.
I guess they rejected the idea!
At our shop the employees sure did enjoyed it!

I recently ordered KFC on UBER Eats and did not see this being offered.

Is it at every location?

According to this

https://people.com/kfc-drops-chizza-...hicken-8598607

it's supposed to hit nationwide tomorrow. Evidently some stores started early.

I see from the story you provided (above):
"KFC menu item, which debuted in the Philippines in 2015, hits the U.S. on Feb. 26"

It may be "new in the USA," but it has been around awhile.

Looks like it’s $9.99 on its own, $12.99 as a combo (at least at the place that was still open and I could start an order) And yes Bonnie, there was an option for no pepperoni.

Why on earth did KFC come up with Chizza? This Chizza has got to be the worst idea that KFC has thought up with and I do not see it last very long at KFC. For one thing pizza and chicken are a very fine mess and nobody puts pizza sauce and pepperoni on chicken and pepperoni pizza is great as a standalone but not for chicken. Even my mom doesn't like the Chizza when I told her about it and she thinks it looks weird. I can see this being KFC's failure of 2024 next to the other failure KFC's famous Double Down Sandwich

I worked in the fast food industry for years at Domino's.
I know how important it is to get and give FEEDBACK for new items.

Please call KFC Headquarters & Corporate Office

If you call for "positive or negative" comments,
tell the customer service person you want to comment on "CHIZZA!"

Of course, it could be because of a COMPANY call YUM! and has KFC & Pizza Hut under them.

YUM! spin-off from PepsiCo in 1997,
Yum! Brands has grown to be the world’s largest restaurant company,

Our KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell brands are global leaders of the chicken, pizza and Mexican-style food categories, respectively.

I wonder if "TACO CHICKEN" will become next?
