Actor Jeff MacKay, a regular on shows including "Magnum P.I." and "JAG," died Aug. 22 from liver failure in Tulsa, Okla. He was 60.
Born in Dallas, he studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. His cousin Robert Redford got him interested in acting, and helped him get his Screen Actors Guild Card with a part in "All the Presidents' Men."

Among the other shows he appeared in were "Airwolf," "Transformers," "Battlestar Galactica," "Tales of the Gold Monkey," "The Greatest American Hero" and "Baa Baa Black Sheep."

He also performed in more than 100 plays.

MacKay is survived by his father and two brothers.

OMG, I didn't know this. I loved him in Magnum, P.I. His cousin is Robert Redford?

I loved his performance as Corky on the short-lived series Tales of the
Gold Monkey. Very sad to hear of his passing. A very good actor.

He played Lieutenant MacReynolds on Magnum, I couldn't find a photo of him from that show but here's one from Tales of the Gold Monkey
