Maybe the manager didn't have the authority to let the 48 cents slide. Even a manager of a store has to answer to the OWNER and maybe the owner had strict rules. But to me that's poor business; a store manager should have some discretion in adjusting a price down a certain amount - like maybe 10%. And only a few times a month.

If it were me, I would have found a way to give Raj a break; it was only 5-6% for heaven's sake.

exactly we were only talking about change since they had the dollar amount

.48 doesn't sound like much today, but back then it was probably closer to $2.57 in today's world.
