I have the DVD's of seasons 1-5 and it's great that CBS DVD included the sponsor openings and closings for the black and white seasons, seasons 1-3.
I think it's in the 4th episode of the series when the Clampetts encounter a telephone for the first time and discover how a telephone works. I get a laugh from that scene, it's very funny.

In the earlier episodes, Jethro liked Miss Hathaway back. I wonder if originally, there were plans to get them together at some point? It always disappointed me that they always just dropped the idea that Jethro was fond of her, too.
I guess the problem was that Jethro got a look at some of the other secretaries at the bank, I have to admit they were much better looking than poor Miss Jane. If Mr. Drysdale did the hiring, he must have had an eye for attractive women. But they never really explained Jethro's sudden lack of interest, they just acted like it never happened. |

Which was odd, because in a later episode Granny talked about how she had a party line telephone back in the Hills lol |

Continuity is something that writers of these TV shows don't always pay close attention to. There are continuity errors in Leave It To Beaver with regards to the school grades the two boys attended. In the 1st season, Wally is said to be an 8th grader which would have made him a college freshman in the 6th and final season, but instead he's a 12th grader/high school senior in the 6th season. Beaver is said to be a 2nd grader in the 1st season which would have made him a 7th grader in the 6th and final season, but instead he's an 8th grader in season 6. |
