Premiering Thursday, Feb. 29 at 10/9c on CBS, "The Good Wife" offshoot finds Carrie Preston reprising her standout role of Elsbeth Tascioni, an unconventional attorney who’s now using “her singular point of view to make unique observations and corner brilliant criminals alongside the NYPD,” per the official synopsis.

Elsbeth has her keen eye on theater director Alex, played by Preston’s former "True Blood" co-star Stephen Moyer. Because Elsbeth doesn’t go about things the normal way, she grills Moyer’s murder suspect on… whether she should see Cats or The Lion King while she’s in New York.



Preston tells TVLine, “I dearly love and trust Stephen. He is such a talented, supportive, adventurous, engaged and generous actor and friend.

Because we have this shared history with our beloved True Blood, it put me at such ease having him by my side on the pilot. I treasured every moment we shared on screen and off.”
