Default TV series about amish

Does anyone know if there are tv series or miniseries (not reality) focused or set on amish communities?

I'd love to see something like that!

Thanks

The only one I can think of, off the top of my head, would be Aaron's Way from about 30 years ago...

I like shows about the Amish too! The only things lately seem to be the reality shows. There might be something new though! It's been catching my eye on bus bench advertisements, a picture of a girl with a bonnet on ,she appears to be Amish maybe?, advertising a new show or movie. It caught my eye because as I said I'm into Amish stuff too! But just riding by or stopped at a red light, I don't know any more than that, but I believe it's on Netflix.

I will be out and about today, and I will try to make a point to check it out further!

Is this what you're thinking of?

Thanks everyone!
I found also Amish Grace, which is not exactly what I was thinking of: a tv movie set on a schoolhouse shooting in an Amish community.

I guess that what I was looking for, a nice light-hearted family drama set in an amish community, simply doesn't exist

I haven't seen it, but yeah, it's based on a book set in a dystopian future.

Here are two movies set in the Amish community , but like you said they aren't lighthearted family type ones!

Witness , 1985 Harrison Ford & Kelly McGillis

Plain Truth , 2004 with Mariska Hargitay

There is a book about the Amish by Beverly Lewis called The Shunning. It was made into a movie. Unfortunately there are not too many positive portrayals of the Amish on TV. This summer my mom had a buggy ride with an Amish guide. She asked him about the rumspriga (no clue how that is spelled) that TV sometimes shows the Amish having. For those who don't know, that is a period when young Amish adults go out and do a bunch of wild stuff before committing to a lifetime of being Amish. Any TV portrayal shows them being encouraged to do this. While it does happen, the Amish leaders definitely do not encourage it.
