I remember when Chico and the Man aired on Friday nights after Sanford and Son and after watching the first 10 episodes on Tubi for the first time in years it led me to wonder if Ed Brown was very similar to Fred Sanford.
Both characters were grouchy curmudgeons and somewhat bigoted. One noticeable difference is that Ed Brown never faked a heart attack which was always Fred Sanford's long running and very funny bit. |
