I would think you can find mittens if you can still find VHS tapes. I am the opposite, hated mittens when I was younger. My fingers were too crowded together, gloves give them more space.

I'm about to run hot water over my cold numb right hand, t he winter mornings are so cold, I do NOT run heat at night, it would get too hot and it's too costly.....Wish I had an old pair of regular gloves as I'd cut off t he end of finger fabric.....but I have no use for gloves overall living in So Cal, but the recent winters and dead nerves in fingers give me grief...

When I think of fingerless gloves, I picture gloves with out material that covers the fingers. I can't see the point of them for why have your fingers cold. Mittens I like for they do keep your hands warmer for all your fingers are giving off heat and your hands are much warmer. But on the other hand, no pun intended, gloves are better for holding on to things.

Caroline, you might think about trying heated gloves, some are battery operated, some are microwavable on Amazon.

Heated gloves, I'll pass, I need to warm my hands winter in AM, and when I finally "thaw" them out I'm OK t he rest of the day. The mornings in my apt iin winter are just so damn cold as I said I don't run the wall heater at night.... I was never a fan of mittens, moms used them for their babies for winter weather. Typing would be a challenge. If only I had a pair of gloves in my stash, I would cut off the tips for t typing....thanks for the ideas...
Well, I just devised a glove from a heavy sock I was t hrowing away and my finger tips are still cold since they are NOT covered.... so this sock glove warms the large portion of my hand...so I'll use it Now if only I could devise a better right leg !!!l |
