Anyone know more about this short lived character played by the great Alice Ghostley?

She was in the service for there was an episode in which she played a brass instrument bugle ?? for a dedication for something . She later took up another instrument harp?? and the instructor was thinking of marrying her.

I'm finishing up season 3 and the Alice Ghostley character of "Cousin Alice" has mostly been a disaster. She possibly had a guaranteed number of episode leads and screentime. She's ok in small doses and as a sounding board but episodes that feature her are massive clunkers.

Particularly, paired with that annoying harp instructor.

Alice Ghostley's talent was better used in Bewitched.

The episodes that stuck with the goofball guys Howard, Emmett, and Goober--like the third season bicycle club--were funnier.
