This is sad news indeed. That fact that he commited suicide makes this more depressing. I always thought David got passed over by Hollywood. He should have been an even bigger star than he was.

It's particularly sad that he committed suicide. At an age when many people are looking back on their life with satisfaction and pride (or at the very least, acceptance) he must have felt that however many years he had left just weren't worth it.

I think I'll remember him best, actually, as "Frankenstein" the lead character from "Death Race 2000".

Reports are now out that it was probably an accidental death and not a suicide which makes more sense. Since this is a memorial thread, I won't post the details here, but checkout the other thread about it.

At any rate, it's a sad loss and I hope he rests in peace.
