LAFF March 2024 Schedule: The Odd Couple (2015) and The Millers Join

Before the new year starts, I just saw the Father Knows Best: Home for Christmas reunion movie from 1977 airs on Christmas Day from 9-11AM, yes on LAFF. So that movie will be on against itself: Antenna TV's Christmas schedule after the Yule Log starts with a Father Knows Best Christmas episode at 10AM.

On to the 2024 weekday schedule, ALF will sadly lose its 11AM hour. At first I thought the rights expired, but ALF will still be on to close out the night from 2-3AM. And ALF will air Tuesdays from 8-10AM starting January 2, maybe other weekdays. A movie will air Mondays at 8AM. An hour each of World's Funniest Videos: Top 10 Countdown and Just for Laughs Gags will open the day starting at 6AM. A morning hour of According to Jim has been added at 10AM, and a morning hour of That 70s Show at 11AM. 12PM-3AM there are no changes. I am glad to see Man With a Plan doing well despite its limited amount of episodes, it keeps the 2PM and 11PM hours that first started in the fall. I am also glad Home Improvement remains 5-7PM, with its long marathons Sunday nights didn't know if they were getting rid of airplays before expiring. Antenna TV will be total garbage at 6PM now with Archie Bunker replacing One Day at a Time, so it is nice to still have something good there.

The 10AM and 11AM hours of According to Jim and That 70s Show will also be on Saturdays. 8-10AM Mondays and Fridays will be a movie. Tuesdays-Thursdays 8-10AM will be four episodes of ALF. December 30 is the last Saturday with The Mothers-in-Law airing 6-11AM. January 6 will be two hours each of Petticoat Junction and The Lucy Show.

ALF is headed to Catchy Comedy in 2024, so will be leaving LAFF entirely at some point. Catchy showed the Christmas episodes and is due to start airing it in 2024 but it’s unknown when, maybe March or April.

I hope Catchy Comedy uses the updated original formatted episodes of Alf instead of the syndicated ones.

Tonight is a rare night with one less half hour of infomercials. I am watching Secondhand Lions now which is 8-10:30. Fried Green Tomatoes is 10:30-1:30, and The Brady Bunch movie is 1:30-3:30.

LAFF has two new pickups that came out of left field. The Odd Couple and The Millers will air Monday-Saturday starting March 4, one episode each at 11AM and 11:30AM. No, not the good Odd Couple from the 70s or the Ron Glass and Demond Wilson version that sounds interesting. This is the recent Matthew Perry version that somehow got three seasons, mostly because CBS needed comedy spackle for filler. Rhyming with filler is The Millers. Most will not have heard of that short-lived sitcom from 2013, CBS renewed The Millers for season 2 with lots of advertising but abruptly pulled it shortly into the season. It went from a 23 episode order in season 1 to only 11 episodes in season 2, 6 of those being burnoffs. Also, The Odd Couple 2015 version will air Saturday nights, two episodes in the 7PM hour starting tomorrow. Last Man Standing will lose its 7PM hour then and on Sundays, Home Improvement now will have 9 hour uninterrupted marathons from 5PM-2AM then. Last Man Standing still gets plenty of play on weekdays with the 2 hour blocks at noon and 7PM. The 11AM hour for The Odd Couple/The Millers replaces That 70s Show, which after tomorrow is totally gone from the weekend schedule and weekday mornings. But That 70s Show still airs in primetime with its 2 hour block Monday-Thursday nights.

Everybody Hates Chris might have expired. ALF late nights is now an hour earlier at 1AM with World's Funniest Videos: Top 10 Countdown at 2AM. Funniest Pets and People has replaced World's Funniest Videos at 6AM, everything else is the same.

I believe Everybody Hates Chris has indeed expired. It is now on Dabl.

Men Behaving Badly is on LAFF tomorrow from 7-10AM following an hour of Funniest Pets and People. It might have been other Saturday mornings as well, but on August 3 is replaced by movies.
