I was watching this episode the other day and something is sort of weird and funny. The episode is about Katie's friend shows up with a baby and stays at the house. She tells them that she wants to give the baby up for adoption but the family and the chief fall in love with the baby and don't like that idea and try and help her out. There is a real baby used in half the scenes. The other half is a fake baby doll that is dressed like the real baby. Its weird because the chief would have the real baby and talk and then cut away when Nell says something and when the camera comes back to the chief, he has a fake baby. The only explanation I could think of is how sitcoms were filmed. They usually had a practice shoot and then final shoot. Many times they would take the best scenes and lines from both shoots and edit them together. It appears they did a shoot with a fake baby and one with a real baby. Its just weird to see how the episode keeps jumping from real baby to fake baby within the same scenes in the episode. In the Threes Company episode "The Babysitters" this same situation happens in that episode too.

I am not a fan of this episode but I do remember that weird switching from real baby to doll. It was sort of creepy and took me out of the moments.

Reminds me of the What's Happening episode where Raj is talking to Little Earl and Little Earl says something and then the camera cuts to Raj as he says something and then when the camera cuts back to Little Earl he's wearing a different shirt than he was before.
