When I heard Roz returned, I assumed it was for more than 20 seconds. The theme song had better not be removed permanently like it was last night. And it is too bad about the break-up, I would have liked Pete Holmes to become a regular. Drop super boring Neil and annoying Olivia for season 2.

This show is just ehh. Not terrible, but not really that good, either.

The episode where Abby's Mother appeared was actually pretty solid, but for the most part...ehh.

It's something to watch, I guess, but it's not something I eagerly await.

To be fair, I loved the original show back when it first aired, but in recent years, rewatching the classic show, it's not a show that has held up for me.

And this new version seems to be pretty much following the template for the old show, without offering anything new or different.

As someone who was a fan of the original Night Court, I gave up after 6 episodes. There just wasn’t much of anything that was funny about the reboot except for joke in the 2nd episode involving The Golden Girls mural on the side of the courtroom.

About the only character that was remotely interesting in the reboot was Dan Fielding’s.

To those who are disappointed with the Night Court reboot, just a couple of reminders:

1. Humor has changed over the years. Many shows that were considered to be funny back in the day couldn't be aired now, and many shows that are considered to be funny now wouldn't be back then.

2. The original Night Court changed a lot before it settled on a formula that worked. The only three performers who stayed on through the entire run were Harry Anderson, Richard Moll, and John Larroquette.

One thing I think is very strange is that they haven't really hit on the Rauch-Larouquette height difference. It's right in front of everyone, they should hit it in every episode.

Maybe this show should have been rebooted at a TV drama instead of a comedy since it's not very funny. They could have called it Night Court Law so people would know what to expect.

Yeah sorry to say it's not very good. It's just dull and boring and trying too hard to be "dramatic" when it's supposed to be funny! I guess I'm somewhat surprised Night Court got renewed but I for one won't be watching the second season.

Just because you're offended by something (that's you in general) that doesn't mean it's not funny!
