Shouldn't A Different World be in the 80s section?

I notice that the show Taxi was from 1978-1983 and it is in the 70s section.

A Different World was from 1987-1993. It started in the 80s and had two full years in the 80s. It existed longer in the 80s than Taxi in the 70s.

No. 90 out of 144 episodes aired in the 90s, almost a 2/3 total favoring the 90s. A Different World also had one more season than Taxi, with over 3.5 seasons in the 90s and less than 2.5 in the 80s. It would have been a closer differential on Taxi because of only five total seasons instead of six total seasons for A Different World.

Oh, okay. Well, I was just confused about that. Also, Three's Company ran from 1977-1984 and it's in the 70s section, even though it has more years in the 80s. It just seems like A Different World that ran from 1987-1993 would go in the 80s section.

But Fantasy Island is 1977-1984 and it's in the 70s section.

Well, what about when a show's best ratings were? The ratings for A Different World were definitely better during the 80s than during the 90s:

Season 4 ranked 4th with a 17.5 rating
Season 5 ranked 17th with a 15.2 rating
