Exactly. They were both great but for different reasons and different eras. In
addition, I'd like to point out that (from what I have read) Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy had a more friendly relationship offscreen and that genuine fondness shines through even onscreen. Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, from books like LOU'S ON FIRST by Chris Costello (Lou's daughter) I gather that the pair did not have a very harmonious partnership off camera. However, I should point out that Bud was grief-stricken by the news of Lou's death and acted as one of his pallbearers. |

I'd say they were both great, but for me A+C's on screen chemestry was unrivaled, especially considering their complex relationship.

Laurel & Hardy, though Abbott & Costello have grown on me through the years.

Neither one for me, I've never gotten into A&C or L&H but I like The East Side Kids and Bowery Boys.

Watch the Bowery Boys movie "Triple Trouble" tomorrow morning on Turner Classic Movies, movie starts a few minutes after 10 AM Eastern Time.
Triple Trouble is a pretty good Bowery Boys movie, I like it better than the previous movie Lucky Losers which is a rather blah entry in the series. Triple Trouble however is pretty decent.
