With Halloween just around the corner, let's take a moment to reflect on some of the best Bewitched episodes that celebrate the holiday season.

The show had a total of 5 episodes dedicated to Halloween:

- Season 1, Episode 7: "The Witches Are Out"
- Season 2, Episode 7: "Trick or Treat"
- Season 3, Episode 7: "Twitch or Treat"
- Season 4, Episode 8: "A Safe and Sane Halloween"

Personally, my favorite episodes are "Trick or Treat" and "Twitch or Treat" from seasons one and three.

I like the first two with Dick York the best - especially when Darrin turns into a werewolf.

Dick Sargent's episode "To Trick or Treat or Not to Trick or Treat," despite being a partial remake of the superior "The Witches Are Out," is decidedly harsh. I am not sure why they wrote Darrin so nasty in this one as he is hard to take at times. Especially his attitude toward Endora.

DARRIN: Endora, I want you to know that this time I am fully aware I am responsible for your irascible behavior. And, Endora, I do owe you an apology. For years, mortals have projected witches in this image. I should have known better.

ENDORA: Well, I I must say I don't know what to say.

DARRIN: On the other hand, it was wholly within my province to remind you that you have no business sticking your nose into the affairs of my family.
It's a matter of integrity.

Of course, given the hard time Agnes gave Dick Sargent I wonder if the ire Sargent acts wasn't genuine.
