Default MeTV Plus Fall Schedule

If you look at passport tv. You will see that Metv Plus is leaning heavy on Westerns Mon-Fri.

And that’s a bad thing. The regular MeTV already has enough westerns. We don’t need more.

It seems they coordinate - mostly put on Westerns when MeTV is playing other stuff, and vice versa.

They haven't released the new MeTV Plus schedule yet on the website. This is what I can gather so far.

Effective on 10/2/23:

What's New:
Baywatch, VIP. - seriously? Pamela Anderson is taking over MeTV? What a bunch of random shows to air on this channel when there's H&I and Start TV. At least its in the early mornings.

They rescheduled most of the Mon - Fri lineup. Adding Police Story, SWAT and Remington Steele which is nice.

But then they effectively kill off what was unique about MeTV Plus by adding Westerns to the primetime lineup. So if you happen to get H&I, MeTV main and MeTV Plus, you get like 15 hours of Westerns to watch everyday.

It's unbelievable how this channel was basically the old MeTV and now it's just current MeTV. All the good shows air once a week on the weekends. (They're moving Hawaiian Eye and 77 Sunset Strip to Sunday overnights).

This is all bad and I'm not as upset anymore that I don't have this channel. This is turning into what current day MeTV is! Its one step away from being all Sitcoms and Westerns!

It makes no sense to run westerns on the Plus channel. And I like westerns more than most members here, I just think regular MeTV is too heavy on them as is.

Westerns are good value for their target demographics.

If they had to actually live in rugged frontier or old west type of conditions, the fans would quickly turn against western television shows.

I know a lot of people hated them on MeTV, but I really miss them showing stuff like Columbo, The A-Team, Full House, Monk, etc. I wish the channel was more diverse, not less.

Columbo was popular on METV. I think Cozi TV wanted the show, so Unversal wouldn't let METV renew the rights and Monk could have followed Columbo on Sunday night.

I've seen people complain about Columbo back when it aired (mostly on those comment pages MeTV's site has). I thought they were crazy because the show was amazing. I think maybe people disliked it because it was the "later" Columbo episodes, not the earlier ones. I never felt like Cozi treated it better either.
