Did Gladys Knight ever try to release gospel albums?

In my box of music I found a Gladys Knight album called Many Different Roads and according to the liner notes two of her children released the album on their own record label Many Roads Records and it was released in 1998 and so i'm wondering if Gladys Knight had attempted to release gospel albums before or was this her very first gospel album. Also I learned that Gladys Knight released this album in honor of her mother who passed away and Gladys mentions her in the title track of the album

Can't answer the gospel question, don't know, don't really care, but enjoyed many yrs of G.K and Pips in my haydays..
