WPSG and seven other CBS-owned CW affiliates across the country dropped the network effective September 1 and became independents.

In Philadelphia, WPHL was awarded the CW affiliation. They were previously a primary MyNetworkTV affiliate. The arrival of The CW necessitated a move of MyNetworkTV to WPHL 17.2, which airs Antenna TV programming the other 22 hours of the day.

TL;DR: Your local Antenna TV affiliate became a dual Antenna TV/MyNetworkTV affiliate at the beginning of the month due to The CW affiliation moving from WPSG to WPHL.

Thanks I knew nothing about none of this I just turned to the Jeffersons at 8pm last week and didnt know what the hell was goin on. I thought Antenna TV was replaced

Yeah, the whole thing was just a weird mess. In Seattle, KSTW was one of the CBS-owned stations that dropped The CW. Their public announcement that they were doing so was made all the way back in early May. And yet, we didn’t know where The CW was going to end up locally until August 31, the day before the switch.

Similar to your situation, it’s now on our ABC affiliate’s .2, which is a Comet affiliate 22 hours a day.
