Default Lucky Supermarket's Las Vegas debut commercial

In the 90's Lucky Supermarkets was expanding all over California and quickly spread like wildfire by opening new stores in cities all over California but in 1993 Lucky decided to expand this time outside of California this time in Nevada by opening the three first ever Lucky Supermarkets in Nevada in history in Las Vegas which marked a historic milestone in Lucky's history. To celebrate this special milestone Lucky Supermarket launched a special commercial airing on Las Vegas TV stations promoting the grand opening of the three new Lucky stores in Las Vegas with special deals exclusive to shoppers in Nevada. You know when it comes to supermarket chains I think Lucky Supermarkets are a strong survivor and when it comes to expanding it's stores to other states Lucky is smart and they had proven themselves worthy in Nevada

In the late 90’s Albertsons purchased the Nevada Lucky locations and rebranded them all as Albertsons. There was talk of bringing Lucky back to Nevada, but I don’t think they ever did. I don’t even think Lucky’s exist in California anymore.

Luckys was a huge part of my household in the 1980s. There were Lady Lee products galore in the pantry as well as black/white labeled products called "Generics". It was all purchased at Luckys until it closed. The Safeway stopped taking personal checks so grocery shopping went to Raleys, which was and still is an expensive store to shop at.

I believe Lucky Supermarkets are now known as Lucky California today and my mother is a Lucky Supermarket fan and bought most of our groceries there. But I will say that Lucky Supermarkets was really smart to expand to Nevada because when I used to spend summer vacations in Reno Nevada the only store that was competition with the other stores in Nevada was Raley's and I know this because when we would return home from our Nevada vacation me and my family would stop at Raley's and grocery shop and it became a tradition every summer I spent in Nevada as a kid. But announcing their debut in Nevada with awesome commercials probably made Lucky Supermarkets a whole lot of money

When you get the general picture I think Lucky Supermarkets have been known for creating great and smart ideas and by expanding to Nevada really showed how much Lucky wanted to expand to other states. But I think judging by this Las Vegas Grand Opening commercial Lucky Supermarkets was ready to expand elsewhere in Nevada but I never saw Lucky in Reno "because my family would sometimes go to Reno for Summer vacations when I was a kid" so I think if Lucky opened in Reno their competition would've been Raley's. I do remember my mom buying Lady Lee products and when I hear the Lady Lee name it reminds me of a new Marvel or DC Comics heroine. But with this commercial it proved which direction Lucky Supermarkets were gonna go in Nevada
