Confused Should Bobby and Cindy have went to the wedding?

In the teeter totter episode Bobby and Cindy are excluded from the wedding invitation of Carol's cousin Gertrude. Carol assumes because they are young they may not be able to say up all night.
Was this not rude? How do you invite the whole family and 4 kids and leave out 2 kids? Would it have been ok to bring Bobby and Cindy anyway? I think so.
In the end its Bobby and Cindy that stand up cousin Gertrude with refusing the invite.
Bravo!

I noticed it and assumed it was done for logistical reasons in shooting the episode. The 2 of them had been in so many scenes in that episode already.

It happens. When I was little I was never invited to weddings with the rest of the family and it made me so mad

I think either all the kids should have been invited or not have been. To single out two kids is very unfair. And it wasn't like they were that young, they could handle it. They weren't disruptive little toddlers!

Not me. My dad was the youngest in his family and as a small kid, I was dragged to countless weddings for my older cousins. I hated getting dressed up and going.

But I think you should invite the whole family or no one. Let the parents decide if their kids are too small to bring along.

Maybe they were too young to sit through a full length wedding. Sure kids like to eat after the ceremony, but maybe it was too much. I had trouble sitting through Church every week. Sometimes, I was so disruptive that I would be spanked. My mom eventually excluded me from a lot of formal settings because I was immature.

Maybe, it was best that they stay behind to do their teeter-totter-ing.
