Nodsmiley "Bob" - Bob Newhart's third TV show!

I never watched this show before first run! It was only on a short time and I never got around to seeing this.

Catchy Comedy is doing a Bob Newhart binge. Last night they showed " Bob". I finally got to see this wonderful show!

I really enjoyed it. I thought it was really funny. A shame it didn't last longer!

Bob was a great show. I Loved season 1. I never watched season 2 because I hated the changes they made to it. Even with Betty White I wouldn't watch it. If Bob hadn't been put on Friday night against TGIF I think it could have lasted longer. It needed to be on Monday.

I remember watching in prime time. I became a fan of Cynthia Stevenson, who played Bob's daughter, and she was the reason I tried to never miss an episode:

I saw several of these this weekend. They're much funnier than I remember.

Marvel Comics actually released a Mad Dog comic book back in the 90's to coincide with the show. Bob was ahead of its time and couldnt capitalize on the geek culture that was too young to count in the ratings.

So it sort of neat and fitting later on, to see Bob Newhart win an Emmy for his guest appearances on The Big Bang Theory.

I watched Bob in its original run and have always loved it. I remember TV Land aired a marathon with every episode some time back in the early 2000s and I recorded them all on tape, but my sister knocked the tape off its shelf and it broke. I was glad when years later, the series was released on DVD.

Good to see this short-lived series getting some positive attention.

Now you need to track down his 4th sitcom, George and Leo. The only one of his without a part of his name in the title. After Bob, Newhart, and The Bob Newhart Show, the title The Newhart Bob Show WAS still available. But oddly they decided not to go that route.

I just received my DVD today , pretty late in the day ! So I only watched 2 eps. A Season 1 and a Season 2 . I liked them both!

Yes! She is very cute ! So cool to see Bob finally being a Father . Being in his first two sitcoms he was childless!

Bob Newhart seems like he would be a wonderful Father!

Oh yeah! I kind of remember that ?

Keep in mind he was not named Bob in "Newhart" . He was named Dick ! So that Show could have been called " Dick" ( our 12 year old , Junior high humor) and " George and Leo " could have been called " Newhart " !

Bob Newhart's full name is George Robert Newhart.
