How come Warwick Davis never got the fame as many other Hollywood actors?

Ever since he made his first starring role as Willow in the 1988 film of the same name it seemed that Warwick Davis was destined to be the next big actor in Hollywood. But ever since Willow debuted in 1988 you hardly saw Warwick Davis in other movies until he returned to reprise the Willow role in Willow The Series on Disney+ and I often wonder why Warwick Davis never got the fame and attention he deserved in Hollywood? Was Warwick Davis a one-hit wonder in Hollywood and moved on to TV shows later in his career

That isn't true as he actually has a long filmography. He has appeared in minor roles in the Star Wars and Harry Potter series, as well as starring in the horror-comedy Leprechaun franchise.

He also guest stars in many overseas (British) series. There aren't really a lot of roles for midget (short stature) actors, but he's been in a lot of things.

I remember before clicking on this thread that thinking he had that popular Troll series and was just about to make a Troll joke and say something like,"It's because he's a Troll!" But your answer reminded me that LEPRECHAUN was what I was thinking about, not Troll!

Warwick Davis is a character actor. Character actors don't become A listers.
