Yeah, I'm pretty spooked actually, you know how I'm such a nervous Nelly anyway ! But we are really inland , not near any water really. Not near the ocean or the LA river ( well not that far) and a few lakes at parks, but not right near me.

IDK !! It is just a tropical storm really by the time it comes to us from Mexico anyway. Hubby isn't worried, he thinks it will just be heavy rain and lots of wind ! The worst of it is supposed to he late Sunday night into early Monday morning ! So we'll see!

My Son lives in the South Bay, it might hit harder there being it's southwest and nearer to the ocean! But he's not scared, he's actually thinking it's cool , you know young guys !! But of course I'm really nervous about him !

Caroline lives in Santa Monica, right at the beach ! I thought she would have started a thread by now too. I wonder if she's nervous? I feel kind of worried for her. But the retirement home she lives in isn't right on the beach of course, but still not that far from the ocean !

I remember on some thread years ago that I think Jane was having an affair with Barney Rubble cause Elroy looks a lot more like Barney than George Jetson! Sounds like you personally will be okay, unless your place is prone to flooding during heavy rains. If the rest of your family isn’t worried…we’ll I was going to say you shouldn’t, but I guess every family needs the worrier.

Well all seemed to be OK, but ya never know if it will pick up speed and get worse ! So than we get a curveball and an earthquake hits! Yeah ( see other thread) !

Than my Son decided to text me and jokingly says " what if we get a tornado too" ? I texted back " that it would be the end of me, I'll have a major , fatal heart attack "!!!

Oh wow!! And she is closer to Ojai ( where the quake hit) than I am .And living in Malibu , I guess the tropical storm was pretty bad there !
