He did it as a favor to his daughters who loved Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana. That's why in his cameo, he's got two girls. They're his kids.

I never understood why Robert Goulet made several guest appearances on Mr. Belvedere, I always found him to be a discount version of Wayne Newton.

How? Robert Goulet was an amazing broadway singer with a baritone voice. Wayne Newton was a teen idol who sang torch songs in a helium voice. Keep in mind that I'm not a fan of Goulet but familiar with broadway. Are we sure we're getting the right performers here?
