In 2006 NBC launched a comedy show called Thank God You're Here that featured various comedians do funny skits and had a team of comedians including Newsradio alum Dave Foley formed a panel judging them on their comedy skits. Actually it barely lasted one month, it ran from early April to mid-May of 2007. It did not perform well in the Nielsen ratings and received a mild thumbs down from the TV critics.

NBC has had a few other comedy series you might want to consider before making an outlandish statement like that:

The Tonight Show, Parks and Recreation, The Office, Frasier, Seinfeld, Cheers, The Golden Girls, Sanford and Son, Laugh-In, Get Smart, I Dream of Jeannie, Hazel, Your Show of Shows, Texaco Star Theater, just to name a few.
