Nipsey Russell is on The Dean Martin roast right now .Boy he sure got around back than .In this ep. they are roasting Telly Savalas ! The Dean Martin roast is on the " Catchy Comedy " weekend binge marathon.

Wow, these people just sit there and string insults on the person, not just the ones being roasted seems like the whole panel ends up getting insulted by each other ! These days somebody would probably end up getting shot !

Comedy Central bought back the roasts for a while. Those were extremely vicious, way worse than those in the ’70s. Compare what you could get away with saying on basic cable in the 2010s to network television in the 1970s.

I also have this book about the Friars Club roasts, which made the whole concept famous in the first place.

Yeah, a Dick always seemed to pop up on an old game show ! Dick Martin was on the panel of one of the roasts today !

I did look it up, I didn't know his real first name .

Than Nipsey was on again roasting Valerie , not your Valerie, Valerie Harper. Also Ed Asner, who was with your Valerie and Nipsey on Matchgame .

They had a distainer before each episode today. Saying something like " This is from the 1970's, be aware of different views on ethnic and cultural remarks" . Meaning there were quite a few racial slurs that wouldn't fly today ! Also quite a few sexist remarks !

Like for instance Eddie Albert was married to a Mexican lady and Don Rickles asks him " How's your lovely wife, is she home making tacos " ? WOW!!

I watched when they roasted Donald Trump, back in 2011, in the before times when he was just a sleazy businessman and bad reality show host.

I calculated, Max will show up next Tuesday . Not tomorrow, next week Aug.15th is " Julie's Wedding " !!
