The Complete History of the Flintstones (1994)

When it was announced that a live-action movie based on The Flintstones was gonna be made many people were surprised that there was gonna be a movie based on a cartoon classic. And so when The Flintstones debuted in theaters in 1994 people who grew up with The Flintstones were surprised at how they managed to turn a cartoon into a live-action movie. Though it had tons of merchandise including a McDonald's Happy Meal deal the movie itself didn't do too badly. But casting John Goodman in the Fred Flintstone role was pure genius and Rick Moranis as Barney Rubble was funny but I think the two weakest ones were Elizabeth Perkins as Wilma and Rosie O'Donnell as Betty Rubble because although Rosie is funny someone else could've played a better Betty and Elizabeth Perkins was mainly chosen to play Wilma Flintstone because she resembled Wilma in personality but someone else could've played Wilma. And by having the classic band The B-52's perform as the BC-52's singing their version of The Flintstones theme song helped the film perform even though it wasn't a strong success. They also made a sequel called The Flintstones In Viva Roc Vegas which took place way before the movie and followed Betty and Wilma on a quest to head to Roc Vegas to go land waitressing jobs and meet with their crushes which are Fred and Barney. The only weak thing about that movie was Barney was played by British actor Mark Addy who was best known for appearing in the CBS sitcom Still Standing. I have both Flintstones movies and they both are fun to see and funny and fresh as well
