Yeah, after the Chicago Bears passed on Mahomes and went with Mitch Trubisky instead...! Tremendously boneheaded choice.

But wait. It gets worse. To get him the Bears actually traded up to move up one spot. Besides swapping the 2 and 3 pick, they also gave up 3 other picks, so Trubisky cost them:

- No. 3 pick (which turned out to be DL Solomon Thomas)

- No. 67 pick, Round 2 (which was later traded to the Saints, who selected RB Alvin Kamara)

- No. 111 pick, Round 4 (later traded to the Seahawks, who selected S Tedric Thompson)

= No. 70 pick, Round 3 in 2018 (LB Fred Warner)

Thomas is currently a back up on the Jets, Kamara turned out to be really good, Warner having success in SF. Thompson I believe is out of the league.
