Default Six Feet Under--Episode 2

Episode 2--YOU NEVER KNOW

I really enjoyed this episode. The opener with the workplace shootings was violent and wild. They had us going with that guy and his stove. I had him going up in flames.
Federico is one angry man and could use a lesson in people skills. Blaming the killer's parents was lousy. He didn't like being shown up by both Nate and David while dealing with the parents. He's too tempermental to deal with grieving people. He belongs in the basement. The talking corpses, when Federico was preparing them, was both eerie and funny.
I read that the new storyline with David singing in a chorus (not a choir, lol) was added to showcase Michael C. Hall's singing ability. It was funny when Keith called David a hopeless aggressive guilt sponge, lol.
It was an interesting evening for four at Nate and Lisa's. This Maya obsession is working my last nerve. Everything from Tide detergent to a flushing toilet to an ear cleaning is an obsession for the both of them. We know you love your kid. Enough already. What's the point? That marriage bores me. Brenda--hurry back!
Lisa's boss is a head case and a nasty one at that. They couldn't pay me enough to work for her. I wonder if it's okay with Melissa Gilbert that she was slamming her and calling her evil? Seriously, I wonder if they have to get permission for that sort of thing.
I felt bad for Claire when Phil told her she wasn't the only one. It was too soon for her to expect to be exclusive although he may have misled her. Phil doesn't do much for me. He reminds me too much of Brenda's brother Billy, who I love.
Ruth's sister, Sarah, strung out on drugs was interesting. Kathy Bates will have a recurring role as Batina. It was funny, in an ironic way, when she and Ruth started popping Vicoden themselves simply to deal with Sarah.
I have a feeling fireworks are ahead with Brenda on the horizon. As always, a riveting show.

I didn't get any sleep last night so I'm really too dimwitted to be replying. But I'm also too dimwitted to stop myself from trying. Mostly I just agree with what you saw roll past your eyes last night Janice. One more thing about Frederico though. When the talking corpse/murderer told Frederico "not yet" about resorting to murder out of fustration, Frederico got quite an expression on his face. Usually something like that is a sign that something is brewing in the plot.
I wanted to get out of Nate's house really, really badly, lol. Gawd I hope the writers are just torturing us with that part of the story line so that we'll be better able to appreciate what comes next--and soon--when his wife dies in a car wreck with Maya in tow. Just kidding, but... help!
Kathy Bates is a fabulous addition to the caste. Bring her back and bring her back often! I liked the story Ruth told to KB's character about spinning out and flopping to the ground from a hammock. It was good to see Ruth lighten up, even if it did require Vicadon to tone her down.
