Successful Remakes: "On the Rocks" ("Porridge")
On the rocks (1975-6) is a US remake of the British sitcom "Porridge". In four words, it's a light hearted prison comedy.
Only just found out that this existed. While the series didn't become famous or lasted very long, at least it completed a season.  So not all remakes end up as unsold pilots! |
