After Vincent finally escaped from the electrified prison cell Gabriel had imprisoned him in and Vincent confronted that truly evil man, I just could not accept that Vincent would NOT fully exact his revenge against Gabriel for murdering his beloved, Catherine and for abducting Vincent and Catherine’s infant son, Jacob.
I mean, Vincent slashed the repugnant Gabriel once in the face in a state of righteous outrageous and was about to finish off the loathsome slimeball, when Diana Bennett interceded and urged Vincent to leave with his baby son before the New York City Police arrived at Gabriel’s lair. Incredibly, Vincent does depart with his son, leaving Diana to finish off Gabriel with Catherine Chandler’s own gun. Now, after seeing Vincent literally slice-and-dice countless bad guys over the past two seasons, I could not buy that Vincent would not also eviscerate the man who was responsible for murdering the love of his life and the mother of their child. I think that B&TB writer/producer George R.R. Martin struck out on that storyline. |
