Default So Jane Boroski no longer thinks Michael Nicholaou attacked her

Just found this article about Jane Boroski and she say no longer believe Michael Nicholaou was the one who attacked her and that he was not tied to the valley killings
Also she cut ties with the Private investigator who help push the idea of Nicholaou as her attacker

That's good. There really isn't any evidence that Nicholaou was the CT River Valley Serial Killer. The false narrative that the private investigator was pushing seemed to confuse and derail public perception of the case. It even fooled UM with their update to the case.

Seems strange to me that there could have been a lot of doubt in Jane's case once the suspect was pinpointed. Assuming the reenactment was accurate, she saw her attacker up close for several minutes. Even in a state of terror she should have known exactly what he looked like. Unless Nicholeau strongly resembled the actual attacker but wasn't him, this seems odd. Seems like if she saw a picture of him taken around the time of the attack should have been a slam dunk.

Was it ever even determined if Nicholeau owned or had access to a vehicle like the one she described? Was he known to live in or be in this area at the time?

The killer was very brazen and borderline reckless in this case I feel, first off leaving her there without making sure she was dead, then apparently driving slow enough from the scene that she was able to catch up to him. And since he drove back to Jane's friend's house, he knew she survived. Makes you wonder if he was a local resident and may have left the area after the attack once he knew she survived to avoid being caught.

Also I wonder if there is still DNA out there from the Connecticut River valley slayings.

It sounds like Jane didn’t believe Nicholaou was her attacker right off the bat when jane was show to her. What it sounds like she was pushed by folks to believe the he was the one that attacker. When you take her out of this the idea of Nicholaou as the CT Valley Killer just fall apart very fast. It funny that she doesn’t talk about her time on the episode of Dark Minds where she Id someone else.

Nicholaou was basically Edward Edwards type serial killer where someone try to build them something huge that they are not.

I highly recommend the Invisible Tears Podcast, which is also available on YouTube. It's hosted by Jane Boroski with two friends. There are episodes dedicated to all the Connecticut River Valley victims as well as Jane giving very detailed accounts of her attack (before, during and after) as well as the recovery process, the aftermath and her life.

Jane is a very likable person. And I am just in awe of her. There are moments that she even looks back on and can laugh about during her recovery process. I've only listened to a few episode so far but they're going to cover a lot of this case if anyone is interested. They also are doing this to give a voice to all the victims. And they all agree that the killer isn't Michael Nicholaou. Check it out.

Too bad authorities didn't follow up much on many of the other suspects. If Nicholaou wasn't the killer, my money would be on the unnamed subject described in the last 3-4 paragraphs here

Very interesting. I would say its noteworthy that he is the first one Jane has identified as being the attacker, like I said her testimony would be more reliable than most since she saw him up close for several minutes. His own wife apparently thought it was him too, and he owned a vehicle like the one seen. Those two things haven't been applied to any other suspect as far as I know.

I thought initially when he came home with bloody clothes that she helped him burn it was on the day of Jane's attack, but apparently that was a different attack. It also only said they lived on a Massachusetts farm for several years, it never specifies that he lived nearby at the time of Jane's attack. He knew at that point that Jane could identify him so its pretty brazen if he stayed in the area or kept that vehicle after the attack, if he got rid of it shortly after the attack I'd say there is a good chance it was him.

If indeed it was him, at least he can't hurt anyone else if he died in 2008. But its frustrating we have no name or no timelines for any of this. Seems like shoddy police work.

I had UM going today and I wondered about Jane's case. I found this article published earlier this year.

https://www.wmur.com/article/connect...n-225/63832673

I didn't see it posted before. I don't know that it adds any info we didn't already know, but it's interesting to see Jane interviewed in person and talking about her attack after so many years.

Jane is a rock star and living proof that you can triumph. I especially like how she has partnered with a life coach and Reiki Master as her co-host.

This case always disturbed me, and I even wrote a poem about it. The killer claiming that she hurt his girlfriend. One of the detectives saying that the killer's view of women is extremely negative--which describes so many male serial killers with exclusively female victims. This is the kind of guy that TV's most engaging serial killer "Dexter" would kill.

And then there's the composite. It gives the "Sam" composite from the Beverly McGowan case stiff competition. Because unlike the "Sam" composite, which is so bizarre that it sticks in your memory, this guy is so...normal. Except for the eyes. Other than that, he could literally be anybody, even your next door neighbor or your co-worker.

But Jane is a standout, even admitting that she probably shouldn't have said, "Hey, what about my windshield," when the killer was walking away. Well, props for that. Because that is the same spirit that helped her recover and give birth to her daughter.
