Default Two Hours of MASH on METV

It looks like MASH will continue to occupy the 6pm-8pm time slot on METV's weeknight schedule. The network is running promos to this effect. Even with more than 250 episodes they will run through the entire series in less than 12 weeks!

UGH.

They've removed Happy Days, Flintstones, A-Team, etc...for more MASH. Don't get me wrong, it's a great show, but I hate it when networks oversaturate one show. METV is better than most about this too, however it's still annoying.

The promo I've seen is a Summer of Me promo. Is there another one which would indicate it's a permanent change?

I'm not an A-Team fan and Happy Days is okay, but they really need to keep their mitts off my Flintstones.

The "M" in MeTV will also stand for "Meltdown" if that "contract" to keep M*A*S*H on the 6pm-Central hour doesn't ever expire. MeTV is just trying to make M*A*S*H look like the most evil long-running classic TV show.

"Stay Safe"? More like "Stay Sad".

Is MASH on any streaming platform? If not perhaps that’s why MASH was granted the 6pm-8pm time slots. Perhaps this was Me TV’s way of giving viewers the show a place to binge.

I don't know here. The show sems to be quite popular and gets lots of viewers. ME I believe is the number one retronet (can someone confirm or refute that?). It looks to me they know what they're doing.

They do pull in the ratings, better than at least a few cable nets. They have a little trouble with the younger, desired demographic, which probably accounts for the fact that they still draw some of the "schlock" ads.

No, it'll be a good thing to see that contract expire. Not being allowed to experiment by putting a completely different long-running classic show on that hour, along with that vague "ratings" excuse, is what makes M*A*S*H look evil. The fact that I just couldn't get into M*A*S*H myself (for simply not being my cup of tea) doesn't help matters.

It's on Hulu.

I recall M*A*S*H airing like this even in the 90s/00s on my local Fox station.

If it was on Laff, it'd be shown for 4 hours every day.

I think the scam ads is what's scaring the younger (30's-40's demographic) crowd away.

Personally, I wished they would get rid of the Sunday evening block of MASH and 1hr of All In The Family and try something else from 7 to 9. I also wouldn't mind if they kept the Sunday afternoon and evening schedule block open for show marathons and family movies.
