No Laugh Track - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I've noticed something very interesting: Many of the Hazel shows had no laugh track! They didn't seem to need it, either.

I'm watching the series on Uncle Earl's page and it took me a while to realize it, but yes, there is no laugh track on some episode.

Didn't miss it!

I never missed the laugh track either. In fact, I became so used to watching HAZEL without one, that when the occasional episode includes a laugh track, I find it very jarring.

I didn't notice, but that's pretty avant garde for a 1960s sitcom.
